How Coldplay Became a Feeling We Wear

From Yellow to Everyday Yellow

Hello, it’s one of the three musketeers behind Cohrt. Before Cohrt was born, we were just a bunch of kids with loud hearts and Coldplay on repeat.

From the soaring anthems of Viva La Vida to the gut-punch quiet of Fix You, Coldplay didn’t just make music, they have been adding memories to this “Main Character Energy” life   that we love showcasing.

Let me share a ‘Core’ memory with you all: It dates to the 2017 Champions League Final. Real Madrid FINALLY clinches La Decima. I was watching the game at a screening in a chaotic Mumbai club but all I could hear is: The roar of the crowd and Coldplay’s Viva La Vida echoes through the stadium.I remember Goosebumps: From Madrid to Mumbai. That moment was bigger than football. It was about triumph, nostalgia, and that spark of something you can’t explain.

And that’s the thing about I realised about Coldplay that night they never tried to be cool. They were just real.Their music let us feel things. Loudly. Softly. Honestly. That’s exactly the energy we wanted to emboss on our daily wear.

The Cultural Code: Why Coldplay Mattered to a Generation and to us?

Parachutes dropped in 2000.  Coldplay gave us Yellow, a love song so raw and simple, it spoke to you on so many levels that 25 years later whether you were in Mumbai or Ahmedabad or Jio-Hotstar, you could Look How they Shine for you.

Then came The Scientist, Fix You, Clocks - songs that taught us that vulnerability wasn’t weakness. It was power.Even when the world got noisy, Coldplay stayed soft. They taught us those feelings had a frequency. And we all tuned in.

Coldplay made music that was unafraid to be emotional and vulnerable. At Cohrt, we wanted to do the same but through clothes. Pick up the essence of Coldplay and transfer it on threads and knits.

The Cohrt Edit: What Coldplay Would Feel Like in Fabric

While working on the designs, story and the launch the pertaining question always was: “What would these iconic songs look like on a fabric that feels like home “

We picked cotton so soft it could be a Sunday morning.Fits that let you breathe in your everyday hustle. Designs that hold meaning the way lyrics do- subtle, intentional, layered.

You’ll find subtle Coldplay ethos and elements in our bold puff prints, and silhouettes that feel as timeless as their discography. Wear it to a gig or to your Sunday brunch or even to your 9am Zoom. It just works fine.

Why Now, Why This

We’re living in full volume. Deadlines. DMs. Constant scroll. But sometimes, you want to wear something that softens the edges- the way Fix You or The Scientist does at 1AM.That’s the heart of this drop. Not just nostalgia. But comfort that matters.
